Hey guys, this is an original Radioplay project I’ve been working on for the last couple of months. I will admit I was heavily-inspired by my recent obsession with Supernatural and other mystery/supernatural type of shows, though this Radioplay will be completely different and is intended to cover different themes from Supernatural (it will not be about two hot guys hunting demons!). I’m planning on producing this Radioplay completely legal and royalty-free using pieces of works licensed under the Creative Common license. At the moment I’m planning on completing a pilot story-arc to test run the project and concept, though if the initial episode goes and arc goes well, I hope to continue the rest of the story!

I’m currently holding auditions for all of the characters that appear in the first episode. Because this Radioplay is very dialogue-heavy in comparison to action-heavy series, I will be stressing and focusing on the acting and interpretation of auditions lines more so than the voices used (this will be tweaked and directed post-casting). All I ask is that your interpretations fit the characters’ personalities and general age ranges. Based on auditions I receive, I may cast additional characters in the next episode as well. In the event I don’t find a particular actor or actress for a character, I may scout the remaining roles. Also, if anyone is interested in auditioning but is hesitant about the project's content or the fate of one of the characters, please pm me and I can provide more of the story (the current synopsis and character descriptions are intended to be spoiler free). I’m very excited for this project and look forward to your auditions!



The small, rural town of Everwood Creek deep in the Washington wilderness has always been a peaceful place. Neighbors live acres away from each other, with only a single road connecting each property affectionately named "Cedar Way". However, years ago a string of brutal murders sent the sleepy township into panic. The majority of the victims being youths, they were cut, squeezed, and left to rot; their bodies mutilated in pieces. No killer was ever put behind bars, though there were rumors that some kind of unspeakable ritual was being performed behind closed doors. Then as sudden as the killings began, they suddenly stopped; until now...

Drew, Kristen and Lexy are heading out to Everwood Creek on a mission to help Lexy achieve an A on her journalism assignment. Required to write an extensive paper on the decline of small-town, rural communities, Everwood Creek fits the criteria perfectly! Lexy has set-up a meeting with a woman named Lizzie Anderson, a long time resident of Everwood Creek. Upon arriving at there, Kristen can’t shrug off a ominous feeling that something isn’t right about the town. Her worries are confirmed when a news anchor on TV reports about a missing boy. In a rapid chain of events, Lexy, Drew and Kristen are unwillingly dragged into an old family conflict, one that involves past mistakes, tragedies, and moments of desperation. Drew, Kristen and Lexy must now stick together in order to survive Everwood Creek, as several unknown strangers in town are on a mission to bring about their demise.

-Poor mic quality may negatively affect your audition. While I do not expect everyone to have pro-level equipment, I am attempting to make this Radioplay as professional as possible and will not accept lines that are heavily distorted, tinny or low-quality. Please keep pops, peaking and other microphone noises to a minimum.

-Record a minimum of three different takes per line with varying inflections and phrasings. These may include different voices or character interpretations.

-Include all audition lines for each character in one file and label it using the following template:
Username_CharacterName.mp3 (ie. "Jefferz_Caleb.mp3")

-Save all recordings as stereo mp3 files with a minimum of 128kbs bitrate. This will be the minimum quality I will accept if cast. During recordings of the actual episode in production, I will accept other file formats of equivalent quality or higher.

-Send all auditions to Jefferzkm@gmail.com. Upon receiving your audition, I will send a confirmation email that I have received your audition (must follow the audition guidelines). After the final cast has been decided, I will be sending out emails with further instructions and scripts with personalized directions and notes for each character.

-Please include the completed Actor/Actress Contact/Casting Form listed below in your email. This information will be useful during casting and recording. If you have any questions or would prefer not to give out any contact information at this time, please let me know:

Prerequisites
Even if you are a volunteer I desire reliability. Each voice actor will be important and only through your contribution we will be able to finish the project! As there will be a number of 'parts', it will be appreciated, if you enjoy voicing for WFD and produce with us for a longer period of time.

Consider this audition like a real application, your first impression will be important. Please refrain from half-hearted contributions.

Due to the intention of producing in near-professional quality, I require patience and passion, because I'll ask for retakes if your performance needs honing, or if there's anything to correct on the technical side of your recordings. In turn you'll be rewarded with swift replies/critiques and your lines as feed-back in the work-in-progress usually within hours! Expect about 5 lines per months.

The White Feathers Directive
Is an ongoing audio play. For centuries the top-secret and well founded Celestial Entity Monitoring Agency CEMA strived to abduct a celestial being (Angel) in hope to gain its powers and has failed so far... Fan-service, weirdness, an angel, demons, fighting and destruction. The play covers a single day from morning to afternoon. There are occasional "erotic innuendos"! The general kind of anime slap-stick scenes.

Recording Format and technical requirements
- A decent condenser microphone!
- Use a wind-shield/pop-killer!
- Set levels to not clip your recordings!
- 48kHz (alternatively 44,1)
- Mono ~one~ channel.
- OGG Vorbis, maximum Quality setting! (mp3 as a last resort)
- No denoising or other processing!

Characters and lines

Sato-sensei (mid to late 30s) (voice adult/low to mid-range) Toshio Sato is short, compact and muscular. He teaches PE at Nanoka's school. Sato-sensei speaks hesitantly, often speaking in bursts, then pausing to correct himself. He seems fascinated with the female form (especially slim, well-toned bodies), and finds it difficult to look away when he encounters a girl or woman who matches his physical ideal, giving him a creepy lecherous aura. In fact as a disguised demon he draws his energy from the life-force of girls. As he abducts Nanoka, he is delighted to find her amounts of 'special' energy - for she is the daughter of an angel. It is intended that he sounds at first like sexually violating Nanoka, for until then it is not revealed, that he is a demon 'merely' drawin energy from her body. Shortly afterwards he has to face her mother, the angel, and finds a quick demise. So his is a short-lived role.

(after abducting Nanoka)
"Well... look at her, Akio-san, How can you not want to look at her? She is... perfect."

Sato 2
(ecstatically, like in sexual pleasure, explaining to Omura while drawing from Nanoka)
"Unhh... You... you don't understand. It's... never been like this. Not in... all the years I've been doing this. All the pretty girls... My beautiful, innocent students... They were nothing compared to her. Nothing."

Sato 3
(in reply to Omura's question: "Do you feel that?", referring to the angel, thoughtfully, in awe)
"Strong, Stronger than this one... We can... beat her? Feed on her?"

The Straw Hat crew obtain an advertisement for a recreational island on the Grand Line run by the Baron Omatsuri. Luffy decides to take this opportunity to kick back and relax. Unfortunately, when they arrive at the island, they are asked to compete in contests through unity for access to relaxation. However, there seems to be a mysterious air on the island, as the Straw Hat Pirates begin to fight amongst themselves, while Robin, Chopper, and Luffy individually search for the secret behind Baron Omatsuri's island.

Project Notes

A part of my One Piece Project. I've decided to move onto produce this, instead of going through a series of clips beyond what is on que. Mainly because...there's more moments for the Straw Hats in the movies than in the series. Moreover...it's unlikely you'll see an English version for a very long time. ...and I probably should have done this is the first place. :neutral: I'll still be doing those other clips I have on que, they're just not ready yet. I've been doing a lot of prepping for this movie. Part 1 of this movie has already been mixed and I'll be going onto part 2 this week, and I'll be halfway finished by the end of this audition. Maybe. Scripts for Part 1 have already been finished with Parts 2, 3, 4, and 5 on the works. This movie runs for about 90 minutes.

For this audition, you will auditioning for the main villain of the movie - Baron Omatsuri. I will be scouting for every other character that hasn't been cast yet. But, this particular character has me stumped. Thanks to Saigo for doing some graphics for me.

Here's how this project is going to go down, if you get cast. I only will give you one part at a time. Each part is 20 minutes. You will be given about 4 - 6 weeks per part. I am pretty open for extensions. If you need one, SPEAK UP. Communication is keep to keeping the role. Do not be afraid to ask question either. I may be busy with my own life (externships and the works), but I will do my best to answer them as soon as I am able. I will also NOT give you scripts to any part I haven't mixed yet (or haven't started) or what you haven't finished to keep your work space from being....yeah, cluttered with work. :sweat

Whilst the contestants were asleep we cracked out the razor blades, makeup, wardrobe, ink and piercing needles

to transform them into mega fucking rockstars. BEARDS WENT FLYING, EYELINER RAN, TATTOOS APPEARED OUT OF NOWHERE...and then we forced them to listen to Punk and Reggae which resorted in a huge fight.

Each week, contestants are given a theme with input and a long list of resources.

They are allowed to submit one draft to the judges, who then give them a critique so that they may improve

and submit a final piece for the deadline. (Break something, learn, pour bleach on flowers, learn!)

Our contestants are given a score each week . The highest ranking person (who sold the most records) gets

a SECOND draft, meaning that they can submit for critique TWICE before submitting. They cannot get the

second draft twice in a row. If this happens, then the lowest ranked person gets the draft.

Meanwhile, in a jolly old skype chat we're all having fun times and I'm trying to be inspiring.

After the rounds are completed, there is the grand finale. The two people who have accumulated the most

points throughout the rounds will battle off against eachother. There are chances to win extra points throughout!!

So sit back and relax as we all scream in your faces.

...No, but seriously. The contestants are going to be awesome.

Hey guys!

You know how its annoying to find sound effects for your audio productions from the same place everyone else does? I love freesound.org but I think it would be awesome if VH created its own sound library! How?

Well all you have to do is record anything! Footsteps, doors opening and closing, cars driving, classroom ambience, and etc.

If you want to take a stab at it you can even you audio synthesis techniques to make more sounds that are monster-like and outwardly world like.

So once you've created a sound just post it down below and I'll categorize them in this post.

This is like really odd for me! Usually my next heir gets themself a mate and with the babies RIGHT out of high school. I'm not use to starting a new generation without babies on the way! But Avery Murray... she's different then all the Murray's before her.

And a looker as well! She is ready to take this world and her new town by STORM!

Spoiler

With the goal of making it big as a singer, Avery starts off on the bottom of the latter delivering sing-a-grams in a really humilating outfit while singing humilating songs. Oh well. It's a living, singing about celebrations while babies are crying.


After work, she keeps herself in fine tune by going out to the local karaoke bar. Being a celebrty in her old town, she is a bit famous here as well. She's a little paparazzi darling. In more ways then one.


She even tries to make a few bucks as the crowd starts to dispurse for the night, but no one seems to be buying her look. And so it's time to create her stage self.

Avery Murray is...

Angel Rosa

Ummm... the stage name is a work in progress.


Mild mannered Avery Murray...


...becomes hot pink Angel Rosa, with her grandfather's guitar performing for tips.


Being that her step-father Finn is a performer as well, Avery works out a little something with him. She attempts his performances. He pulls in the people.


And after the show is over, Avery catches the ones hanging behind for a few extra tips.


By the end of her song, she's got three fellas left. Perhaps it's time to start thinking about that whole getting married and having babies heir responsibility? She had hoped moving would give her some better options out there but the pickings appear to be slim. She chats it up with the boys for a bit but it just doesn't feel right. So she changes and heads back home where that very same paparazzi from the bar the night before is camped out on her lawn.

Wow, he looks cute in the light.

There seems to be a magnetic attraction that pulls her to step beyond the line of celebrity and paparazzi to start a conversation with him.


Avery: Hi there. I'm Avery.
???: I know. I have been camped on your lawn since I heard you moved her after all. You the neice for Balfour Murray. He's married to Leah Murray. Not to mention the Murray name is pretty much just famous in itself.
Avery: You know alot about me but... I don't know anything about you. How about a name for a start?
???: Are you... are you sure we should be talking? This seems kind of... against the rules or something.
Avery: Perhaps but I will at least need a name to yell when I tell you to get off my lawn. If anyone asks, that's why I wanted to know.
???: Is it the only reason?
Avery: It's the only reason I'll admit to.
???: I'm Shane.


Avery: So Shane, I take it that this is more then your normal day at the office.
Shane: Yeah... you could say that. First time that a celebrity has stopped to talk to me.
Avery: Well... I might just stop more often. For you.


Shane: What is your mother going to think about that?
Avery: This is more story now... she doesn't have a say in it anymore.

What is this?! Is Avery falling for... a paparzzi?! The one guy in town she should be avoiding she finds herself pulled towards? This could prove interesting.


In the meantime she has to keep on working her little lungs out to get herself up that singer path.


It's not long before she gets an audition to perform in the park. It's an audition that she aces! And the next afternoon, she was going to be putting on her own show.


That stage belongs to Finn at the moment. Oh! I never mentioned his stage name. Round of applause everyone for "Plant the Cacophonous." No... seriously.


Avery takes notes on how to put on a show while Shane is nearby. Working. It's hard that his job keeps them so close. The attraction... oh the attraction!


Back at home, Avery still does normal things. Like wash all the dishes that her mother and Finn have been leaving around. Where ARE those to anyway?


Katherine: Finn, I know you are happy we got a hot tub, but couldn't you wear some swim trunks?
Finn: It's more EXTREME to skinny dip honey!


Bet he regreated that choice when Katherine made off with his clothes and hid them on him.


Lucky there was a towel nearby.


With her big show drawing near, Avery gets herself in shape. There is a little bit of her workout crazy father still in her.

And soon the time has come for Angel Rosa to take to the stage for the first of many performances to come.....







The reviews are in and everyone agrees that Angel Rosa is a natural talent that puts on a quality show and will no doubt rise to the top and at rapid speed!


Meanwhile, Finn is stuggling for auditions.


She is no star yet, so Avery still delivers Sing-a-grams by day. Got a bit of an upgrade on her uniform though. Hey just... who is she talking to anyway?


Avery: I can't stop thinking about you Shane. I need to see you ant no just on my front lawn. Here's a tip... I will be in the part of a photo op tonight. Tell no one.


Totally oblivious to her daughter's secret fling with a paparzzi, Katherine is off feeling young and some of her husband's daredevil trait rubbing off on her as she gets a tattoo.

While at the park...


Avery: You darn paparazzi. Can't I just walk through the park in peace. I am coming over there to give you a peice of my mind!


Avery: Think I yelled it loud enough?
Shane: It was perfect Avery. Will make a perfect story as well.
Avery: You won't make me look bad in the press will you Shane?
Shane: You have my word Avery, I will never slander you.
Avery: Why?
Shane: You know how you spoke about this... attraction?
Avery: Yes?
Shane: ...I feel it too.

So, I had a lot of fun making people write and perform punk poems on Viva Hate this week. I then decided that I wanted to do SOMETHING too!!

So this is a merge of a poem that goes into a monologue that goes back into a poem for a few seconds. It's a mismash!! More of a dramatic reading, really. I started it off as a poem but then was like "What the hey? Let's mix it up a bit" as I haven't done a monologue in a long time, haha! Just a bit of fun! Not my best writing, obviously, I just wrote and waited to see what happened.
