I love cooking, but all the recipes I have are at home and I'm at my grandma's house.

I cook occasionally, but I mostly bake (everything from scratch~)! ^^
I make some mean brownies and vanilla-raspberry cake (w/ vanilla buttercream frosting). <3
My mom's the best cook I know, so I'll happily share some recipes.

I haven't made it in a while so I don't remember the recipe from the top of my head, but I'm pretty sure I can find it written down somewhere! XD <3

Mmkay, so normally my dessert specialty is tiramisu (b/c tiramisu = FOOD OF THE GODS), BUT this Valentine's day I have plans to make a chocolate ganache tart with strawberries. I'll let you all know how that goes (and post pictures too, hopefully!) XD

The best recipe that I can offer is one of the simplest ones that I know!
Tea biscuits!
This recipe is a 'less salty' version than what some people prepare, the only reason for this is because 1 teaspoon seems to make the biscuits taste as salty as the ocean! Not a pleasant experience to eat. Blech!
But anyway- what time is it?
Direction time!
Tea biscuits!
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup shortening
- 3/4 cup milk
- Optional:
Cinnamon & Sugar!

Direction time!
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (205 degrees C).
- Grease a baking sheet, it's okay to use your hands for this, and margarine/butter, whatever!
- Combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Cut shortening in with a butter knife until mixture has a fine crumb texture. Stir in milk with a fork to make a soft dough.
- Knead 8 to 10 times, using flour to make sure it doesn't stick to your counter! and then roll out to a thickness of at least 1/2 inch (but if you prepare more dough, then it's okay to have it thicker! Makes the insides nice and fluffy... Mmmmm...) Cut into rounds with a cookie or biscuit cutter, (I use a regular drinking glass for this.) Place on cookie sheet, and allow to rest for a few minutes.
- Optional step: you can sprinkle cinnamon and sugar on top of the biscuits, it tastes amazing with the butter that you spread onto the biscuits afterwards!

- Bake for 12 to 15 minutes. Serve warm.
